Silver jewellery making workshops
Jewellery making is not only a fabulous craft but a chance for you to spend some well earned relaxing time out of your hectic life. My jewellery workshops are geared towards beginners but I also run tutoring sessions for makers who would like a refresher in the art or have a particular technique to improve on.
My workshops are for 1 or 2 people.
Short workshops
Stacking rings workshop
Learn how to make a set of fashionable sterling silver stacking rings with a design of your choice. You can add balls, add texture, use brass elements; be as creative as you want. This is a great workshop to create rings that reflect your personality.
Duration: 3 hours and 3 rings £75
Spinner ring workshop
Also known as a fidget ring, choose to make 1, 2 or 3 rings to fit around the base ring, which looks equally stunning with or without a texture.
Duration: 4 hours; Cost: £110
Seaglass jewellery workshop
Use a piece of seaglass donated by an avid collector or bring your own beach treasure to remind you of a wonderful time by the coast. You can make a ring or pendant, either option will look beautiful. Chain included.
Duration: 4 hours; Cost: £105
Keum Boo workshop
Keum Boo is the ancient Korean art of fusing gold foil to silver. You will design a pair of earrings or a pendant and fuse 24ct gold foil to your jewellery by the action of heating. This is a long workshop, so energy snacks will be provided!
Duration: 4.5 hours; Cost: £160 for earrings and £170 for a pendant with chain.
Cuff bangle workshop
A sterling silver cuff bangle is an incredibly striking piece of jewellery; worn by the earliest of civilisations and now unbelievably contemporary in design. Be prepared for lots of stress relieving hammering!
Duration: 2 hours; Cost: £85
Bangle with charm
Choose the shape of your silver wire (D-shape, square or round) to create a bangle which can be textured or kept plain. Personalise with a disc charm that can include your loved one’s names or initials or cut out a particular shape that has a meaning for you.
Duration 3.5 hours; Cost: £100
Two sets of stud earrings
You can never have enough earrings, right? Add these two contemporary designs to your collection. The circle set can be made in any size and the bar earrings can be as short or long as you want.
Duration 2-2.5 hours; Cost £85
Gemstone setting workshops
This is a popular workshop and you can have the choice of making the setting by hand or using a pre-made settings for you to pop your favourite stone in.
Duration 3.5-4 hours; Cost: from £120 (dependant on type and size of stone). Please contact me for more details.
Bespoke workshops
I am not one to stifle creativity and if you have a particular piece of jewellery in mind then we can arrange a bespoke workshop. Please contact me with your design idea and then I can determine whether it can be made in 3.5 hours or suggest similar alternatives. Make your own wedding rings
The build-up of any wedding can prove stressful and over-whelming so why not take some time out and spend time together in a relaxing environment making your own wedding rings? You will be able to work in silver and gold. For platinum you would make the rings in silver and then they would be sent to a casting company to make an exact copy. Photos will be taken throughout the workshop to remind you of a wonderful experience. Price will vary according to metal chosen so please contact me to discuss your requirements.

What to bring
A hair tie, closed toe footwear and glasses if needed for intricate work. Also recommended is lots of patience and a good sense of humour!

I am located in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Easily accessible from M1 junctions 11 and 12, A5, A41 and Leighton Buzzard train station (Euston line).
Had a perfect day in the workshop yesterday. Jude was wonderful, very patient and definitely a lot of fun. I would highly recommend a day with her creating your own personal piece.
